Wondr files
A Wondr file (.wdr) is your whole project in one file you keep on your computer. Open it again later to keep working exactly where you left off.
Save a Wondr file
- Open the Save menu and type a Title.
- Optionally turn on Include History to keep your undo steps in the file.
- Click Save File, or use its keyboard shortcut.
The file downloads as <Title>.wdr to your browser's downloads folder.
You can also right-click an empty spot of the canvas and choose Save.
Open a Wondr file
- Open the Designs menu.
- Click the file icon on the right side of the search box.
- Choose a
.wdrfile.
Search designs
The design opens with its title, layers, and all elements included from its last save.
With or without history
- Include History off (the default until you turn it on, then Wondr remembers your choice): a smaller file. It opens as it looked, but you cannot undo past that point.
- Include History on: an increased file size that keeps your undo and redo steps, so you can undo after opening it.
What is inside
- Your canvas size, background and view.
- Every layer and its settings.
- Your Uploads gallery and the images you placed.
- The list of fonts used. The fonts themselves load again from the web when you open the file.
- Your undo history, if you chose to include it.
Your Settings preferences and Save menu choices are not stored in the file.
Good to know
- Wondr files are encrypted. They open only in Wondr, in any active account.
- Saving and opening a Wondr file need an internet connection.
- A file that was changed outside Wondr, or is not a Wondr file, shows Invalid file format and is not opened.
- Image-heavy projects make larger files, because the images are stored inside.
- To open a file, use the file icon. Dragging a
.wdronto the studio does not open it.
